Dylan Hurwitz (Rhode Island School of Design, MFA ‘19) is based out of Brooklyn, NY. For Hurwitz, a landscape can be seen as an intimate space where sensuality and sexuality are experienced and expressed through winding pathways, trickling water and saturated colors of foliage and grass. Tree forms are delineated to evoke human forms and sandy pathways as skin. Hurwitz’s works function as quiet moments of repose, intimacy, alluding to and referencing the body.
