Shrimp Cocktail Flamingo Vase

Roxanne Jackson is a ceramic artist and sculptor living in Brooklyn and upstate New York. Her macabre works are black-humored investigations of the links between transformation, myth and pop-culture. Press for her work includes The New York Times, The New Yorker, The LA Times, Juxtapoz Magazine, Hyperallergic, Forbes, Metal Magazine, The Huffington Post, Artnet, The Observer, Gothamist, Whitehot Magazine, Beautiful Decay, Cool Hunting and Ceramics Monthly, among others.   She has recently shown her work in New York City at venues including The Hole, SARDINE, Underdonk, Ortega y Gasset Projects, Room 57 Gallery, Honey Ramka, Catinca Tabacaru Gallery, Dinner Gallery and SPRING/BREAK Art Fair. Roxanne had works in the exhibition “Friends and Friends of Friends” at the Schlossmuseum in Linz, Austria, and her work was recently on view in Design Miami and Untitled Art Fair, Miami Beach, FL (2021). She looks forward to a solo show at The Hole this fall (2022).

Roxanne Jackson has exhibited with Room57 since the inception of our gallery in 2020, where she was featured in our three-person booth display at Design Miami 2021. Her work has garnered critical attention for its striking maximalist quality, detailed with playful and macabre allusions to mythology and kitsch. Keeping in step with Jackson’s steady climb as an emerging, highly sought out New York-based artist, we at Room57 have collaborated with the artist and AR studio UniqueBoard to make her work more accessible through digital form.

Don’t miss out on this exciting limited edition run!
